The fashion empire of Versace was started by Gianni Versace in 1978. After the death of Gianni in the year 1997, his sister, Donatella, who was the vice-president at that time, took over and continued the legacy that his brother had started. She even took the empire to soaring heights by making sure that their fashion line will cater to various fashion trends all over the world, especially in New York and Milan. More popularly known as Valentino, he had been one of the favorites of Hollywood celebrities for special events such as the Oscars or the Golden Globes. His shop started in 1959 in Rome and gained world recognition when he dressed for Jacqueline Kennedy after her husband, the late President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated. He was then in-demand among the royalties, socialites and A-lists from United Kingdom and Belgium. He also starred as himself in a movie in 2006, The Devil Wears Prada.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren is an American born businessman and fashion designer who started as a salesman for a tie company. Because of his desire and love for fashion, he wanted to design his own ties, but his idea was rejected. He left the company and started to make his own ties out of rags and sold them in small shops across New York. Neiman Marcus gave him the biggest break when he ordered 100 dozens of the ties. He continued his market in ties under the label “Polo” which literally took over the world. Later on, he expanded his line by introducing menswear and women’s line. As of 2007, RL has more than 35 shops across the USA. He is also famous for his automobile collection.

Coco Chanel

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel was a fashion designer and the founder of Chanel brands. She was the only designer to be included in Time’s 100 most influential people of the 20th century. She had influenced the way women wear clothes from corseted silhouettes to sportive, feminine styles. She also designed handbags, jewelry and fragrances. She will always be reminisced for her perfume No. 5 and her classic suits.

Kate Spade

She is the co-founder of the famous brand “Kate Spade New York” which was launched in 1993. He has been working together with other noted fashion designers in the world such as Louis Vuitton, John Gallano and the new creative director for Diet Coke in February 2013.
