Dawn of the Dead (2004)
The movie is a remake of the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead and it turned out to be scarier and better. The movie had some inspiration of the film 28 Days Later where zombies run to get their prey. This movie is about a Spanish news reporter who unfortunately went inside a building where the start of a zombie outbreak was about to occur. With the government’s knowledge of the unknown virus, the whole building was sealed in order for the virus not to spread. The movie has one of the most unique setting and story line, making it one of the best zombie movies ever created. An English version was created, entitled “Quarantine”.
Rec 2 (2009)
This movie is the continuation of what had happen to the report and the attempt to find a cure of the disease. A Vatican priest and a group of elite soldiers were on a mission to enter the building and recover the blood of the source of the infection only to find out that the source of the infection was not a disease but a demonic plaque. The sequel was scarier than the first and it had many twists that made the movie so creepy.
Planet Terror (2007)
This movie is one of the best action horror movies ever made since the scenario of this film was more of the survivors trying to survive the zombie outbreak and trying to survive their individual differences. The movie is filled with A list stars like Bruce Willis, Naveen Andrews, Fergie, Nicky Katt, Freddy Rodriguez, Josh Brolin and Rose Mc Gowan. This movie was also the highest grossing horror movie in 2007, and one of the highest grossing horror movies in the late 2000’s.
Night of the Living Dead (1990)
This movie is a remake of the 1968 Night of the Living Dead and critics claim that this remake was scarier than the first. In 1990, this movie was the highest grossing horror movie and made a star out of Tony Todd, who then after this film portrayed “Candy Man” which was another great horror movie film. La Horde (2009)
This movie is about 2 gangsters teaming up and trying to survive the zombie outbreak. Although they are enemies, they need to count on each other to survive. What seems to be a perfect plan turns out to be a disaster in the end since one of them could not forgive the other because they killed her husband. The movie was well received by critics and audiences despite the actors who played the roles were not that famous.

This movie is a comedy horror movie about a boy trying to survive the zombie outbreak and find friends in the process. At the start of the movie, he narrates ways on how to survive a zombie attack stating that he should stay away from other people prove him wrong since the people he made friends with were the people who save his life. 28 Days Later (2002)
This movie is the biggest reason why there are many zombies in movies that run at a very fast speed. Critics claim that the movie has inspired the director of the TV series The Walking Dead to make the first scene similar as 28 Days Laters’ first scene where Sheriff Rick Grimes woke up in a comma.
